Each with an oval fluted base, tapering panelled column and original detachable sconce. Loaded bases with original green baize. These stunning Georgian Old Sheffield plate telescopic candlesticks were made circa 1800. Telescopic candlesticks are rather scarce and very sought-after. The telescopic mechanism allowing to choose the height of the candlesticks. Each plain column is decorated with gadroon borders and raised on a circular base. To raise the candlestick, rotate the upper section of the column clockwise, to lower it, rotate anti-clockwise.
Both fitted with the original detachable drip pans. The base with green felt.
Condition:
Very good.
Mechanism in very good order for the age, Both candlesticks stay firmly in place when up.
A little copper showing through at places, commensurate with age and adding to the patina.

This exquisite and unusual small Georgian silver chamber stick bears the marks of John Cramer and is dated London 1814. The square shaped silver cast drip tray with shell borders and reeded rim. The central column with the original detachable and fully hallmarked cone-shaped snuffer.
The handle with flying "C" scroll thumbpiece. Both snuffer and tray with matching hallmarks. Very good silver gauge. A fabulous and rather hard to come by Georgian chamber stick.
